Sharif first worked with PHAMA Plus as a short-term Market Systems Development Adviser providing strategic MSD expertise for PHAMA Plus activity delivery following MSD principles to ensure it achieves its goal, purpose and end-of-program outcomes. Now Sharif has joined PHAMA Plus as Senior Portfolio Adviser to work with Country Managers across six countries to build their strategic thinking and planning skills and help them design and implement interventions across agricultural value chains.
Sharif has more than 14 years of experience in leadership roles in large market systems development programs across South Asia, Africa and the Pacific. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Policy in Strategy from North South University in Bangladesh.
