Reporting to the Country Manager – Solomon Islands and working closely with the Country Manager PNG based in PNG, GEDSI Program Manager, based in Samoa, the GEDSI Officer will support the updating and implementation of the PHAMA Plus GEDSI strategy, with a focus on Solomon Islands and PNG. Noting that the strategy will be reviewed and updated on an annual basis, based on feedback or recommendations from the previous year. With GEDSI a core priority for PHAMA Plus, the position will ensure that opportunities to mainstream GEDSI into PHAMA Plus strategies, plans and interventions are identified and acted upon. Additionally, there may be opprotunities for standalone GEDSI interventions and with the support of the GEDSI Program Manager and Country Manager, the GEDSI Officer will utilise tools, knowledge and support to remain alert to GEDSI and integrate plans and activities into interventions that respond to these opportunities.
