Capacity building for trade facilitation  

  • Training was held with biosecurity officers and business to improve awareness on border inspection and clearance procedures.
  • PHAMA Plus is working with the Niue Chamber of Commerce to support three local women-led enterprises that are part of the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), a cohort of Niue entrepreneurial women under the Chamber. The businesses were given grants aim to assist with business development and technical expertise for domestic and international trade.
  • PHAMA Plus also provides support towards upgrading data collection and analytical capacity of Niue Chamber of Commerce. This will support the Chamber to better capture business profiles and baseline data to inform policymaking and improve member services.
